Winter Songs
Snowman Song
I’m a little snowman short and fat,
Here is my broomstick and here is my hat.
When the sun comes out I melt away,
Down, down, down, I can no longer play.
Thumbs – (make mitten hands- wiggle thumb)
Thumbs in the thumb place, fingers all together
This is the song we sing in winter weather
It doesn’t matter if they’re made of wool or leather
Thumbs in the thumb place, fingers all together
Five Little Snowmen – (tune of Twinkle, Twinkle)
Five little snowmen standing ‘round my door
This one melted and then there were four,
Four little snowmen underneath a tree
This one melted, and then there were three,
Three little snowmen with mittens blue
This one melted, and then there were two,
Two little snowmen playing in the sun
This one melted and then there was one,
One little snowman wanted to run
But he melted away and then there were none.
Chubby Little Snowman
The chubby little snowman had a carrot for a nose
Along came a bunny, and what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny who was looking for some lunch
Ate the little snowman’s nose, nibble, nibble, crunch (2X)
The chubby little snowman had some raisins for his eyes
Along came a little bird and here is the surprise
That hungry little birdie who was looking for some lunch
Ate the little snowman’s eyes, nibble, nibble, crunch (2x)
The chubby little snowman had some peanuts for a smile
Along came a chipmunk, who stayed for quite awhile
That hungry little chipmunk who was looking for some lunch
Ate the little snowman’s smile, nibble, nibble, crunch
The chubby little snowman had some apples for his ears
Along came a fox, and this is what we feared
That hungry little fox who was looking for some lunch
Ate the little snowman’s ears, nibble, nibble crunch
The chubby little snowman was looking rather bare
Along came the children, who said “It isn’t fair”!
We’ll decorate our snowman with nothing from our lunch
And now the little animals can’t nibble, nibble, crunch
